Q:
"I've been listening to your teachings from your website. I'm a little confused. Are you saying if we get God's word in us enough so that we believe it, that we don't need to work in a secular job anymore? Or is that just for those called to full time ministry?
A:
God's Word is very clear. A person needs to either be in full-time ministry or in a full-time secular job, or be part-time in both. God makes no promises in His Word to supernaturally provide for lazy people. Full-time work would include such noble endeavors as child-raising, housewife, and so forth. No matter what we do in this world, spending time in God's Word energizes and empowers us to accomplish more than we could on our own. God loves busy people. We are to be productive and useful in this world as well as in the Kingdom of God. For example, in my case, I was already working full-time in the secular world and had been for my whole adult life. The testimony you hear on the tapes is how God moved me from full-time secular work to full-time ministry work. The only exception to the "work rule" is for those who, for some reason, have been injured, physically disabled, etc. to the point that they are no longer able to provide for themselves. If they can work, the Word is clear, they must work.
2 Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

Q:
"I have read books and heard tapes from different sources say that, I am a spirit, that has a soul, who lives in a body.
However, could the following statement be more accurate? I am a soul, that has a spirit, who lives in a body?
The reason I ask this is because, if we say that our spirit is God-conscious, our body is world-conscious, and our soul
is self-conscious, are we not saying that our soul is … us?

Q: I need help with my finances
or I'll be forced to file bankruptcy, can you answer my questions or refer me to someone who can?
A: Sorry, we do not do
counseling. You might consider using the resources at Consumer Credit
Counseling. We have had very good success referring people to their services. It is a free service, and they are
very good at what they do. Also, we would be glad to stand with you in prayer. Be sure to submit a Prayer Request
to us.

|
Q: Can you recommend any good
books or resource materials along the same line as your teachings?
A: No, I don't know of any
books or other resource materials along the same line as these teachings. I have met a few people in the course of
these last couple of years whom the Holy Spirit has been teaching the same revelations that He has been teaching me.
They have spent their time in the Word and prayer, and sure enough, the Holy Spirit has taught them the same things.
There may be books and tapes out there along the same lines, but if there are, I'm not aware of them. All of them I have
ever seen are a "mixture" of the LAW and Grace. To operate in supernatural Kingdom Finances … there can be no
mixture of LAW. It is one or the other! They are mutually exclusive. Paul warned the Galatians of this very principle
when he wrote:
Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from
grace.
|
|
Q: We are new to our area, any
ideas on how we find a good church like the one you talk about in your tapes?
A: No unfortunately. The
problem is, I have not met enough pastors yet to have a list of churches of "like precious faith." My suggestion? PRAY, go
try various ones out, PRAY some more, go try some more out and repeat this process until you get the Holy Spirit's
"witness" of where you are supposed to be.

Q: Gary you and others I've
heard, talk about spending several hours a day with God in prayer, but what if someone doesn't have a spouse or job that
allows this?
A: I can tell you right now,
NOBODY has enough time to pray! I didn't either. Pharaoh (the god of this world) has all of us so busy "making bricks
without straw" that it seems NONE of us has time to go out into the wilderness of prayer to seek God. (Exodus Chapter
Five) To escape this trap, YOU are going to have to PRAY ANYWAY! Regardless of how it seems, you CAN carve out an hour
of prayer a day to begin with. You CAN do it! In addition, pray softly in the spirit at every opportunity … while
driving the car, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, etc. Remember, there is no such thing as a wasted hour spent
praying in the spirit. Every hour you spend in prayer, the Holy Spirit is making intercession for you according to the
perfect will of God.
Rom 8: 26-27 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we
ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints
according to the will of God.

Q: Is it wrong to desire and
work for things?
A: Part 1 -
Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall
we be clothed? Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all
these things. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto
you.
From the birth to the grave, what is it the people of the world spend their lives seeking? The very "things" that Jesus
said we were not to give top priority to: "What shall we eat? What shall we drink? How will we be clothed?" In America that
list would today include, "What kind of car are we going to drive? How will we afford to educate our children? How much
of a house can we afford?" The list is endless ... yes?
The point for the true believer is this: Our life is not about "things." Our life is about Jesus! The secret that the
devil does not want the children of God to learn is: If we put the Kingdom of God FIRST place in our lives ... ALL THESE
THINGS (the very same things the people of the world burn up their lives seeking after) SHALL BE ADDED UNTO US! We have it
on no less authority than Jesus Christ the Righteous HIMSELF! He cannot lie!
Let me restate the promise in just a little different format to impact your understanding. Jesus is saying, "The promise
of the Father is this; If you will put FIRST place the seeking after His plans and purposes for your life, the
Father will personally take over responsibility for providing all your THINGS. After all, He knows you have need of them."
The question to us is, How will we live, by which system? The world says strive after things! God says seek Me first, and
all these things will be added to you! You will find that this process of 'seeking God first' will require the development of a 'living relationship' between yourself and
the Lord.
Part 2 - A question contained within your question is: Is it wrong to work? God forbid! The New Testament abounds with
exhortations for the believer to be productively employed (2 Th 3:10-12 & Eph 4:28). But our focus
is never to be on 'things.' That's just not what our lives are to be about. Our lives are about serving Him who bought us.

Q: How much of our 'extra'
income, which isn't much, should we give?
A: Pastor Dave Roberson often
says, "The attitudes and motivations of your heart are much more important to your prosperity than the legalistic dollar
that you plunk into the offering plate." How true! Again, much of the answer to question one also applies here also.
Remember, we are not under law ... but grace.
I'm sure you remember Paul comparing the body of Christ to the natural human body. On earth, we ARE the body of Christ.
Unless we go preach ... when does Jesus get to go preach? Unless we go and lay hands on the sick, when does Jesus get
to go lay hands on the sick?
So now let me ask you, "Unless we give, when does Jesus get to give?" HE is IN US! We are His body! A good analogy is a
hand in a glove. Jesus is actually the hand. We are the glove. It is Christ IN US ... our hope of glory! Amen?
(Col 1:27)
So you could say, as HIS body on earth, we are also His HAND on the earth. Think about your own hand. How does it know
when to reach into your wallet and take out some money to give? How much to give? To whom to give? Isn't your hand
supposed to receive such instructions from your mind? You would think your hand had gone crazy if it started taking it
upon itself to just begin giving away money by some "formula" rather than by receiving instructions first from your mind
... right?
We are Christ's hand. We are supposed to receive our instructions from the HEAD (Christ is the head of the body).
Not just some kind of written instructions, but "living" instructions from the living Christ, on a day by day, moment
by moment basis. The written instructions given in the law were for spiritually dead people. But for us who are born
again,
Heb 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb 10:20 By a
new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
By a NEW AND LIVING WAY! Life has been imparted to your born again spirit. You don't have to depend on a written code. You
are in a living relationship with the HEAD .. all the time! We are to receive our instructions from the Head just like
your hand is to receive instructions from your mind. The analogy is perfect.
But the question often arises, "But Gary, this is all pretty new to me. I'm not very good at hearing those living
instructions yet. I want to give into the Kingdom. What should I do until I get better at hearing Him?"
I always suggest that people should follow the "pattern" from the type and shadow of the old testament while they are
developing a fuller relationship with Him in the new testament.
But you are not under LAW! God is looking at what's in your heart much more closely than He is what is in your hand. Give
from a heart of love. Give because you want to see people saved, healed and blessed. And spend much time in the new
testament and praying in the spirit. Just like the Good Shepherd He truly is, He will lead you in the paths of the
perfect will of the Father for your life. Trust me, if you have the heart of a giver within you, He is more interested
in making you able to give than you are. He is watching what you do with little. That will tell Him what you'll do with
much;
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least
is unjust also in much.

Q: Our son wants to become a
surgeon, so he can earn a high income. Is this wrong? (He has always had a very giving attitude. Even when he was as little
as three and four he would give away toys all on his own.)
A: To seek ANY occupation
solely based on the money is wrong for a Christian. From your comments in parenthesis that does not sound like this is your
son's total motive. A good friend of mine often says, 'Why should a Christian do anything? Because the Father wants him
to do it.' That agrees with what Jesus said;
John 5:30 (AMPLIFIED BIBLE) I am able to do nothing from Myself independently, of My own accord, but as I am
taught by God and as I get His orders. [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a
decision.] Even as I hear, I judge and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own
willI have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purposebut only the will and
pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.
It is God who gives us the "desires of our heart" as we spend time with Him. His will for our life becomes our most earnest
"desire." If God has placed the desire in your son's heart to become a doctor ... then that is precisely what he should
become. Just never make such decisions based on money. We either spend our lives serving God ... or serving money ...
you CANNOT do both at the same time;
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold
to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
On this path of re-programming, every honest heart must seek after the answers to these questions. Much of what is on the
tapes are the answers to these questions ... and many more ... that I have received while in prayer over the years. I
hope this helps with your questions.
